1983 to 1995
As Assistant Director, I was responsible for the College recruitment publications and for monitoring and coordinating a $300,000-plus budget. My responsibilities included such important institutional relations publications as the campus map, University calendar, and fact book. I directed staff teams and individuals, developing publications strategies, determining the faculty and administration's communications needs, and presenting the University to prospective students and the general public. I helped create the Publications Office's home page on the World Wide Web, and oversaw the development of a project database on the Internet. I helped set up two local area networks. I have put together everything from a one-page ad to a 400-plus page course catalog on Macintosh computers. I am especially well versed in Microsoft Word, Netscape Composer/Communicator, FileMaker Pro, PageMaker, and Quark XPress, among others.
I also have extensive computer experience. I worked with a consultant to put the University’s application for admission on disk.
